Does your business or organisation have the confidence to recruit and retain disabled talent?

There is a wealth of support through the Clear Company's resources such as Clear Kit, Clear Talents and Clear Assured that will help you acheive the goal.

Proud to be Clear Assured LogoBeing disability confident isn't rocket science, it just takes some knowledge, support and the willingness to implement change. The good news is that the Clear Company and it's partners are able to provide you with all the support you need so that you can make your organisation disability confident and even on the journey towards being 'Proud to be Clear Assured'.

Disability Confident is HM Government's initiative, launched in July 2013 at the first ever Disability Employment Conference, to encourage employers to employ disabled people and reduce the percentage of disabled people that are able to work but unemployed. The current difference between non-disabled people and disabled people in work is represented a 30.1 percentage point gap, representing over 2 million people.

Disability Confident Logo ClearKitThe Prime Minister, David Cameron says; "Employing disabled people makes business sense too. When on average 20% of customers are disabled, why wouldn’t you want your business to have the perspective and insights of disabled people? In fact, disabled people, together with their friends and family, they have a combined spending power of £212 billion a year. One insurer recently found that upgrading its website to make it fully accessible increased online sales by a staggering 90%."

Kate Headley, Development Director for the Clear Company agrees; "The statistics show that hiring disabled talent makes great business sense too - they take less sick leave, stay longer in their jobs, have fewer work accidents, increase your talent pool, bring in additional diversity and of course enhance your brand. You just have to read our news feed to read case studies from organisations subscribed to Clear Kit and Clear Assured who are hiring disabled talent to the benefit of themselves and their employees...there is success all round!"
